Developmental of Abstract Imagery and  Art

Much of the art of earlier cultures – signs and marks on pottery, textiles, and inscriptions and paintings on rock – were simple, geometric and linear forms which might have had a symbolic or decorative purpose. It is at this level of visual meaning that abstract art communicates. One can enjoy the beauty of Chinese calligraphy or Islamic calligraphy without being able to read it.

Three art movements which contributed to the development of abstract art were Romanticism, Impressionism and Expressionism. Artistic independence for artists was advanced during the 19th century.

Expressionist painters explored the bold use of paint surface, drawing distortions and exaggerations, and intense color.

My favorite artist in this genera is Wassily Kandinsky,  a pioneer geometric artist.

Abstract Imaginary for me for this project was heavily inspired by artists like the ones below. Their was the inspiration for this project.

Henri Matisse's expressive use of colour and imaginative drawing comes very close to pure abstraction and pure abstract imagery.

Cubism ultimately depends upon subject matter, it became, along with Fauvism, the art movement that directly opened the door to abstraction in the 20th century. Pablo Picasso was the father of cubism for me. He made his first cubist paintings based on Cézanne's idea that all depiction of nature can be reduced to three solids: cube, sphere and cone.

Man Ray and others taking the clue from Cubism were instrumental to the development of the movement called Dada. This area of art was also the inspiration for my images.

I really like this type of photography, every time one looks into the image you see some thing different.
The light and textures are so different to the original images. The original images can bland and indifferent, but with the use of Layer Blending tools, in Photoshop an interesting abstract image had been created as in image 1 and 2. I created a black border around the picture because I feel it enhances the image by framing it.
