 Martin Lawrence Landscape Photography

He is a photographer specialising in images of the English Lake District and Scotland. His work is well known in the Lake District area, where he exhibits in several local galleries and has monthly exhibition/sales at the Moot Hall in Keswick.
He has a wide portfolio of images.

Biography

After many years as a keen amateur photographer, he decided to start a small landscape photography business called Lakescenes which he ran alongside my main job as an IT Manager. As business increased, he found myself working long, but rewarding, hours just to keep up with the demand. It quickly became apparent that he was enjoying his part time job much more than my full time one and he decided that this was where his future lay.
He decided to leave his job in IT and become a full time professional photographer. I hold regular exhibitions at the Moot Hall in Keswick and exhibit at several galleries in and around the Lake District area where he have been top selling artist in Thornthwaite Gallery for the past three years. He also exhibits in Lancashire. He supplies images for calendars, websites and brochures and contribute to stock libraries. He has also now started to write photographic tutorials for magazines.
He now have a number of customers who collect my work both framed and on canvas. His love of fell-walking has allowed him to access and capture images of many of the places that visitors to the Lake District hold close to their hearts. ‘Memories on the wall’ is how I like to describe it.
In March 2008, he re-branded as Martin Lawrence Photography and commissioned a new website to enhance my on-line presence. This has successfully led to a big increase in internet sales.
As a result of many requests,he introduced One to One Digital Landscape Photography Courses in 2008 on the website and these have been extremely successful. It seems to have filled a gap in the market for photographers looking for individual attention that focuses solely on their needs rather than those of a large group. He has had some great feedback from both beginners and more experienced photographers looking to improve their technique. He has recently decided to branch out into group tuition for small parties of two or three people.

A sure-fire way to make Levels adjustments in Photoshop

Use best practice!
If, however, you do have time to prepare yourself for a shot, make sure that you make the best use of your equipment by supporting your camera on a tripod and using a remote switch.

Try a new location in a different area of the country. Take your camera on holiday, join a club or try a short course or a photography based holiday. Talk to other photographers.
